Hello and welcome to Cooking with Christina. Today’s recipe story is from 8 years ago on Thanksgiving. We forgot to buy pineapple bread so instead she created a homemade one. This recipe is called Pinnapple Bake. The Pinnapple Bake calls for ½ cup of butter, 1 cup of sugar, 4 eggs, 5 slices of day old bread cubed, and 1 can 20oz crushed pineapple, drained. Combine cream butter and sugar together then add eggs. Stir bread cubes then drained pineapple into a buttered baking dish. Then bake on 350 for 45-50 minutes. The healthy ingredient in this recipe is the pineapple. A tip for this recipe is do not make it if you’re allergic to pineapple for any other ingredient. Today’s shout out goes to Mrs. Jo Dyson. Hello and welcome to Cooking with Christina. Today’s recipe story is from when my grandmother was very little. My grandmother and her mom only had puddle and gram cracks in the house so they came up with this cake called and ice box cake. The ice box cake recipe calls for 4 cups of vanilla pudding, 2 cups of chocolate pudding, and a box of gram crackers. First you must have a box dish or pan. Next, cover the bottom and sides of the pan with gram crackers. Then add 2 cups of vanilla pudding, and then place more gram crackers on top. Repeat this step with the chocolate pudding. Now add the last 2 cups of vanilla pudding. Finally crush up the rest of the gram crackers and sprinkle them on top. Now you have your very own ice box cake. There really isn’t any healthy ingredient in this recipe.  A tip for this recipe is level the pudding out each time you add it. Today’s shout out goes to Mr. Hunt. Hello and welcome to Cooking with Christina.  Today’s recipe story is from when I was seven years old and my babysitter Karen was watching me. We both had a craving for something peanut buttery and crunchy. So we mixed a bunch of different ingredients together and came up with this recipe. We called it Karen’s peanut butter cookies. The recipe calls for 2 cups of peanut butter, 4 cups of special k-cereal, 1 cup of white kero syrup, and 1 cup of sugar.  You mix the peanut butter and special K-cereal in a large bowl. In a different pan mix the kero syrup and sugar, while mixing the kero syrup and sugar put on the stove on high. When the kero syrup and sugar begin to boil put the timer on for two minutes. When the two minutes is up, mix the two bowls together. Then take a spoon and put spoonfuls of the cookie on to wax paper. When it has cooled it is ready to eat. The healthy ingredient in this recipe is the peanut butter it is full of protein and fiber. A tip is if you are allergic to peanut butter don’t make this and while you are boiling the kero syrup and sugar continue to mix it constantly. Today’s shout out goes to Mrs. Boyle.
